Hi Josh, I was just going to post about the eclipse - I just took the pooch out and checked it out very cool, honestly I don't know if the dog pinched out any or not..lol. To busy looking up in awe,the moon was orange/red like Mars.

I was hoping the moon would have been more on the horizon to get some really cool shots of it over my Royals, but instead I had to settle for shooting through the canopy of my tall Bismarckia.

Very nice pics. What kind of camera did you use? Every picture I tried to take of the eclipse was blurry beyond recognition.

Thanks. I used a Nikon D50 on a tripod with a really slow shutter speed. I also flashed the tree to get it to show up more pronounced.

Ahhh. It turned up very nice with the palm in there. My camera had a slow shutter speed but that just gave my arms time to shake around a bit and make it really blurry. hehe. Did you get a chance to look at saturn which was just below the moon at around 7 o'clock from it. You could see the rings (looked more like one big ring) pretty well.

I took some pics but they were to blurry. I need a tripod. Great shots kitchenshock!

I just uploaded my pics from last night and I actually got a pretty good one without a tripod. Here it is.

It must have been so cold that your arms froze stiff because thats a pretty good shot without a tripod.

Kitchenshock, I love your pics (and your palm trees, BTW). We saw it last night too - in the bitter cold here in Wisconsin. The little dot to the lower left of the moon is Saturn, and our neighbor let us view it through his telescope - you can actually see the rings!!!!!! Very cool...

This is the last lunar eclipse until 2010 - glad you were able to get pics.
