It's too cold for them out here. It was sunny yesterday so I guess that it is 6 more weeks of bad weather. Early Spring!!!! WOOOOHOOOO.

LOL, you mean I have to keep this warm winter we are having for another 6 weeks. This has been the best winter in years. I dont ever remember 50 and 60s in February, nights in the 30s.

I don't know, we watched the Bill Murray movie of the same name, very funny film.

Ya.. I just heard the same news. This was the best news I have heard in a long time!!! This has been a tough winter.. one big snow dump after another. I'm sick of it!

I have far more faith in Wiarton Willey (or his new replacement, God rest Willy's soul) than the weather channel. Yesterday they predicted Ottawa temperature on Wednesday would be 12, now they are down to 7. It will probably end up at -1.

I know Matt , seems like there is always a 5 degree temp difference in forecasts between the Weather Network and Environment Canada forecasts

Even if the rat says winters over, I'm still not getting out the snow shovel,digging a hole and breaking out a jackhammer cracking out a cube of frozen "soil"and planting any palms just yet!

The weather channel is horrible.

We haven't even had a winter yet here at the Jersey shore. A couple of below 20 days, but otherwise, no need to protect my trachy. February is a psychotic month, however. Just bide your time and keep the coal fires burning.

Here in Canada we have the Weather Network and in the US you have the Weather Channel. I used to watch the American Weather Channel all the time with the American bootlegged Direct TV , they make weather exciting at least on the weather channel they change the background music every couple of months for the forecasts. On our weather network they have had the same theme for 2 or more years. The Canadian weather Network is so boring. You Americans are lucky to have such a good weather channel even if there forecasts are out of wack .If you had our Weather Network for a week you would be begging for your channel back..lol. When you guys have Tornadoes they bring out the Tornado Expert , Dr. so and so or the Hurricane Dr. I especially miss the weekly planner. It must be hard to give a perfect forecast for the whole country - Just wondering what your favourite American weather service is, I would Imagine it is probably NOAA but I know there is Intellicast and Accuweather and probably others

I was watching the weather network last night and they had a segment that indicates the level of cold/flu activity in your city. Not sure how this helps me, except perhaps if I am sick it comforts me to know everyone else is in my town is also sick, or make me feel like a loser if I am the only one. I'm certainly not going to run around with a mask and not touch anything just because the activity is "high". I have long ago given up on the weather network. I go to Environment Canada's website to check the weather, and still only listen to the short term forecast.

I actually like the cold a flu segment, thats when I know when to become a Hermit or take copious amounts of odourless Garlic capsules. I usually have, starting in the fall cold after cold then because I smoke I get bronchitus for three weeks following the cold. This fall I started taking 6 capsules in the morning and 6 at night - I have not been sick yet but could feel the effects of the cold going through its motions or trying to get a hold of me..lol - I'd get the killer headache the first day then my nose would run the second third day it was gone no signs of anything that has happened 3 times but no cold and no bronchitus . I'm hoping that it will also ward off the Norwalk virus as I have had that the last couple of years and never want it again as long as I'm alive.

nyssaman the weatherunderground is allright as far as weather forecasting goes,I usually look there and weather.com then decide for my self,the weather channel is going the same route as MTV did, maybe they will have a spin off channel,that starts showing weather again instead of DL showing us how to change a light bulb,or shows about weather or that does'nt constantly cut off before they show temps on the 7 day forecast,but it does surprise me how much they do get right,like seeing arctic outbreaks 7-10days out or more.

I have lobbied for many years now, advocating the use of scantily clad voloptious women telling me of the sunny days to come. Then, I wouldnt care if they are wrong and I would always tune in. We can then just complain about clashing colors and ill fitted bikinis.

I would not complain about that!How about the more sun,and warmth the less clothes,that way if you 'turn on'the w.c. and see them wearing clothes you can just turn it off!,and if they are wrong(which I'm sure would never happen)well I can think of a few-punishm........ah I mean options!whadayathink?Oh sorry I forgot to mention something...........what was it...oh yea,palms
