Night Noise

I live in a unique area. I can lie in bed at night with the window open and hear the traffic noise from I-35; I can hear the occassional freight trains a couple of miles East of me; I can hear the coyotes howl from the woods; I can hear the lions roar from the animal park; I can hear my neighbors' horses occassionally whinney, the dogs bark every now and then and the sweet sounds of the "night birds" contentedly chorteling away, and in spite of the horrible reports on the evening news, I think to myself, "It's a wonderful world.". Life goes on, and there are gardeners all over the world, with their own successes and failures who just want to live in peace and "putter" around their yards enjoying the fruits of their labors, be it beautiful, fragrant flowers or tasty vegetables. Wow! What do you want to bet that we would love ALL our worldly neighbors, even with names we can't pronounce, if we could talk gardening! After all, life began in a garden!

Just thinking,

Jeanie
