Comments (12)Uh I didn't specify very well did I about the recipes ~ ! I am sorry...I was looking for individual items featuring the fruit or veg...haha I am a mess in the middle of the night I guess. Made brandied peaches and also fig preserves. I picked lots of summer apples tonight from my DS1 's tree and will make tomato and apple chutney tomorrow. Also I am making strawberry preserves and I found a wonderful sounding fig and lavender jam that I am going to make. I don't sleep when I am worried about stuff...I have a son that is having lots of ongoing problems...many many years of sleepless nights. Good to hear from you. I am glad it was cool for you. We just had another "po' down" as they say in the south so no hoses again tomorrow. Yeah...lots to can so would like cooler weather but they say no more rain and 90's...oh well. c...See Morenoise complainer, evening
Comments (3)The laws here (Canada) say that any serious noise can't be made before 7 a.m. Most people get up and going long before 9 a.m. and expecting people not to be busy before then is unrealistic. I also think that you need something else to do with your time besides worry about who's spending time with whom - for all you know the boy and woman do have a connection you're unaware of, but even if they don't, it's not your business - your "constantly watching your property to catch them in the act" is your choice, and not their problem, but if I saw you constantly watching me I'd ask a lawyer to send you an injunction to stop. It's unfortunate that you keep odd work hours, but you can't honestly expect others in a communal living situation (besides your own family) to honor your timetable. I think the bouncing balls (off your car) won't get any better if you keep pestering them - they may even look for other ways to annoy you (as you are obviously fairly easy to annoy). I know this all sounds pretty harsh to you, but you need to get some perspective, maybe a hobby, and understand you can't tell other people how to live if they're living within reasonable bounds. If they're too noisy in the hallways for any length of time then you have a valid complaint, but you can't dictate the other stuff....See MoreIs a popping noise normal?
Comments (20)I think those of you that are suggesting something is expanding or contracting due to temperature changes are right on. It may diminish over time. One of our DWV pipes did that when the house was new. When you drained a tub of hot water, it would make a popping noise, but it went away after a few years. BTW, when I was growing up we lived in a farm house where the only heat was a big wood stove in the living room. My mother would get up in the wee hours and build a fire meanwhile my dad would be outside tending to the animals. Being a kid, I would stay in bed until the stove got warm. But then I would have to walk nearly a half mile to catch the school bus. I'm sure when it was cold outside the house was probably near freezing in the morning. Now we set the temperature for 60 at night and about 67 when we are home. Jim...See MoreOasis Dryer Noises - Normal?
Comments (6)Gwebber - Yes, this dryer is noisier than my old ones ever were. There is no sound insulation in mine, not sure why it's called "Quiet Pak". I had two warranty repairs: 1. Vibrating front panel, right after delivery 2. Cracked drum, after 7 months Try to lean on different panels to see if you can stop the vibration while dryer is running, I could. Also, examine the back seam of the drum for any cracks. Lisa...See Morenoisemaker
