Few Palm/Cycad problems

Hello all,Happy New year

I am really after some help and advise with my Palms and Cycads.

We have a palm/cycad and fern garden.

Over the last 6 months (Since winter) most of our taller outdoor palms (Kentias and Alexanders) are looking really shabby.

They are getting new leaves and growing but they dont seem to stay green for long and end up kind of brown and "frayed".

The leaves also dont seem to be as long as they used to be and seem to be pointing almost up instead of out.

Most of the above are about 4 - 6 mts high

I also have a 20 plus year female Cycad that had a "flower" about 2 years ago.Since then, the new leaves turn yellow about a week or so after coming out. The lower older leaves are still green.

It still has the remains of the flower/ red seeds and I have been knocking the loose ones off thinking that this might be the problem.

Also can somebody advise me on what is the best fertilizer that I can use on Palms/Cycads (In Australia)Is it OK to use Seasol Power Feed ?

I have spoken to a Specialised Palm Nursery and they just said to use Seasol which hasn't helped.

Thanks for any help on offer

Regards

Greg
