Thank you prairiemoon. When you ask me to post photos of my arrangements, do you mean here on this board? I never used to do arrangements, they intimidated me. Which is funny as I worked for a while in a flower shop, I worked in the gift shop and never did anything with the flowers. But a few years ago I read a book about Tasha Tudor, and decided I have the flowers, I have the pots, what the heck am I saving them for?? Now I have vases of flowers on a regular basis.

Your Spacecoast Francis Busby picture and description has put this one on the "definitely going to get" list. It is now time for me to go with quality rather than quantity and several DLS are going to be removed in the fall and I want good plants as replacements. You really do have a lot of "hot" ones, those colors really stand out. Apache War Dance lives here and has last two blooms today. It's been a good one. Always love the pictures of Ruby Lipstick.

Condo living in terms of gardening can present some challenges but you are facing them head on and winning the battle. Way to go! Realistically, there aren't a whole lot of perennials that will bloom for 3 months. Oenothera Lemon Drop is supposed to be sterile I think, so no seeding, but does it like to spread vegetatively as much as some of the other Oenothera, which in my experience tend not to play well with other plants, though they make a great groundcover? I have no experience with Lemon Drop. I like the suggestion of Moonbeam coreopsis as it is quite long-blooming. It will spread some, but is easily contained or removed where not wanted; the roots are not difficult to pull IME. It will probably be a bit over 6" but has airy foliage. I have a small daylily, Happy Returns, that blooms on and off all summer. The relatively fine foliage (for a daylily) is perhaps a foot tall and it pushes blooms on and off all summer, though more consistent deadheading and water might well make it bloom even more than it does for me. I think that there might be a couple of rebloomers that are even shorter in the same pale lemon yellow. You might want to consider some of the "gold"-foliaged plants which would look good with blue flowers. One of the yellow or yellow-variegated Hakone grasses (Hakonechloa macra) for shadier areas or a small gold hosta or gold-leafed Heuchera for medium light or Sedum Angelina for the brightest areas. There are several low-growing gold-leafed Carex (sedges) as well, and both light levels needed and height for those vary depending on the species. I know there are some gold-foliaged heathers, but you would want one with white flowers (rather than pink) and I don't know if any of those are as small as you want. They have the advantage of being evergreen as well. You might also look at some of the yellow-flowered annuals such as Calibrachoa (million bells) which has some forms with pale yellow flowers.
