Comments (2)What kind of care to you give it? Full sun, shade? Do you keep it dry, or water it a lot? Also what kind of temps have it seen? Was it near a heater when it was indoors? That should really help determine what the problem is. Good luck!...See MoreLady Palm/Rhapis excelsa help desperately needed!
Comments (8)I think your palm is getting too much sun. Morning or late afternoon sun is one thing, but midday sun might be too strong. Also, you mentioned it was planted above the soil line. You should aim to keep the soil line as nearly the same as you can. Can you raise the soil around it and/or mulch it?? I don't think you are overwatering it from the description--as they're native to a summer monsoonal climate. I guess the umbrella would help, but unless you are prepared to plant something taller to shade it, I would really consider moving it to a more protected location. Good luck!...See MoreHELP!!!!
