A surprise among the weeds

I may have mentioned once or twice (or more!) how late I am planting this year so you can imagine how thrilled I was to find three tomato plants volunteered and blooming. I have now hilled them up and will take good care of them.

Then in the old tomato patch from last year, I found around twenty more about 16 inches or more tall. I weeded around them and they are pretty much in rows so I can just reinstall

a panel to stake them. That is more than I planted last year. All were OP so that is a real plus. The Black Cherry self seeded........a lot! So will be nice to compare Mother Nature's method over planting seed inside early and then planting out. She will probably win out. I don't care just as long as I have tomatoes this year.
