Yet ANOTHER seed starting question

Are you all sick of these yet? I'm so sorry!

I started my seeds in soiless seed starting mix in dixie cups.

When they sprouted, and had true leaves, I moved them to larger styrofoam cups.

As they got bigger, I seperated them into individual cups and buried the tomato stems up to the top leaves.

They seem to be doing well and I think thy are fully hardened off. I've been leaving them out the sun (east side of the house) all day every day for over a week and bringing them in at night.

How long will they survive in the cups? Should I plant them into the garden now and just watch out for frost and cover if it threatens? Some of my seedlings are pretty big and when I "repotted" into new cups had a great root system. So I don't want them to get root bound.

I don't have anywhere near enough containers to pot them into anything larger.

THANKS!

Jo
