free pots and hanging baskets

Was cleaning up the patio area a bit today. I had lots of 5 gallon and 1 gallon pots that were cluttering up the area that I really have not used for several years.

Other garden web folks have suggested checking with nurseries and garden stores because they would likely want and put those pots to use. So I called the Johnson Brothers Greenhouse in Coburg, OR. Asked if they could put them to use. The fellow I talked with said they have all they can use, but they have a recycle area. You can bring what you can't use so your fellow gardeners can take what they want. So I brought what I wanted to get rid of. They have lots of black plastic pots, including 5 gallon if you want them, one gallon, hanging baskets, etc. I will remember this. No more buying them for me when I can get them for free. So you might check with your local nurseries for this, and if you're in Coburg, stop by and look at a terrific plant nursery that does a great job recycling too.
