Mountain Hemlock Problem

boxofrox

A while back I planted a gorgeous small hemlock in a large glazed pot. Having never planted a tree in a large container before, I just assumed that it would be fine to use a combination of topsoil, compost, and potting soil. There was only one hole in this container and I'm worried that the regular soil is not allowing the pot to drain properly. It's beginning to look a little stressed and getting a lot of yellow needles and I want to take it out of the pot ASAP, empty the existing soil and re-fill it with what is best. Can anyone tell me what that is?

Thanks
