I can't give a real opinion seeing I just purchased mine in June, but can say that she had around 11 buds on her when I purchased her,and the bush looked huge and healthy. However, those buds didn't open up well, they balled and didn't look good at all, but the smell was fantastic. Now after all those flower's were finished, there is only one bud on her, which is pretty pathetic in itself, so will see how that one opens up, we'll see how she does and will keep you posted.

I believe my Hoya Bella needed higher humidity. Now that I actually got to take alook at it personally, The tips of the leaves aren't that brown or dry but they are curling downwards and seem a bit wrinkled, The new flower buds are turning brown and drying up, The buds that have already formed and flowered still remain closed tightly. So I watered and misted my hoya in hopes that I've tackled the problem. I guess I'll just have to wait and see!.

I don't think you should judge Bella Anna so quickly, or compare it to Hydrangea macrophylla. It is a different species with different uses and attributes. Just like Annabelle or any other Hydrangea arborescens, it is going to take a few years in the garden to mature and look their best. I think you will find that the flower color improves once the plant is in the ground and the roots are established. At least this has been my experience.
