Its frilled flowers are light lavender-blue with a prominent purple flare. The lush leaves are glossy green. ItÂs vigorous, cold hardy, heat and sun resistant. Very popular. BLUEPETER Other choices are: Calsap. It is not blue, but has the prominent purple flare and is even more striking. CALSAP RareFind Nursery does have Calsap. RareFind has Violetta which is similar to Blue Peter but on a nicer plant. VIOLETTA I personally like A. Bedford. It does well for me here in Pennsylvania. A. Comments (39)thisisme You might also try www.BayLaurelNursery.com. You can order next years Dave Wilson stock now. They don't charge your credit card until they ship. I ordered next years cherries on an 8' dwarfing rootstock that will ship Jan 3. I've ordered from them & Raintree before to get Dave Wilson Nursery stuff. Both are great. Also I've ordered from a tropical mailorder place in Punta Gorda, FL before. They are the best packers in the business. They have a huge variety of stuff. Important to me was avocados on west indian rootstock. All three have the advantage of not having to leave the house. I'm determined to get some avocados to the fruiting stage. I have at least a dozen varieties on different rootstocks growing in different areas of sun & shade. My yard is like a giant avocado experiment. Hopefully I will get one or two to produce. I am encouraged by a few of them, but only time will tell. I'm also excited about the possibility of cherries. I like growing the things people tell me will not grow here. The odd thing is I don't eat avocados or cherries. Lucky for me, I have a wife & grandchildren who love both....See MoreJuly 22 Tranquil Lake Nursery near Providence- a great experience

Tranquil Lake is located in rehoboth mass., about 1/2 hour east of providence r.i. best, mindy Here is a link that might be useful: tranquil lake nursery...See MoreLooking for some hard to find plants....
Comments (14)Hi Alison, Good to hear from you. I actually do have a Greyia sutherlandii now, but thank you so much for the offer. Interesting you posting at this time. I gave one of your Caesalpinia peltophoroides seedlings to one of the guys from the Jungle (Peter) and now he's looking for seeds for a nursery friend. I have two left--one is still in a pot and the other I planted out in April. I also have two seedlings of the Tabebuia roseo-alba from the seeds you sent me. I'm going to plant one of those out in the Spring too. If you run into Grant...tell him that I got ONE seed of Deplanchea tetraphylla to germinate and that plant is now about two feet tall. I'll be putting that in the ground next Spring too. I want to thank you both for your generosity. I found a seed source of Alloxylon flammeum on eBay OZ and I'm going to try that next Spring. I've also got a little Buckinghamia celsissima growing and thriving in the ground. Many different kinds of Australian natives do very well here in SoCal. -Ron-...See Morebarbarawilliams
