Squirrel problem

The squirrels are a real pain in the tush. They dig in my pots all the time and expose roots of my hostas. The only ones that are immune are the really big ones

They seem to pick on one or two young plants every year that they almost worry to death. They dig them up repeatedly. I have a radiant edger that still has only one eye after 2 years, they've dug it up so often (I don't think it likes Texas, though). I moved it to the other patio in June and they seemed to lose interest in it. However, they were still digging up my Frances Williams this week. I'm not sure she will survive. They dug up a piece of my "ugly" hosta last week and it didn't make it.

Any ideas?
