So What Works For You To Hide Old Bulb Foliage?

So what works for you planted with spring bulbs? I tried planting Huechera right in the middle of each patch of bulbs I planted, now I'm thinking this wasn't such a good idea. I keep trying to think of something good for filling in after the bulbs finish, to hide their foliage as it dies. I can't think of something that likes dry sunny conditions, but doesn't grow enough to distract from the bulbs too early. That's the thing with Heuchera I think it is gonna take over before the bulbs are finished. (they are planted so the bulbs are growing through them, perhaps I should have planted them around them) Most of the recommendations I've found in books or other places recommend companions that look nice with spring bulbs, not what will take their place when they get ugly. I'm hoping to get some ideas from people that have trialed and errored and are now happy with their results. Hopefully you're out there.
