don't think there is any harm to the plant..so my thinking is go ahead and see if it works...I have used Greenlight's Superbloom a couple of times on my ES in the past, applications in May (right after last frost day), and one more light one in August...doesn't know if it helps, but I never have one yr of no blooms on my ES.. that said, my ES[s] start pretty slow this yr with all the rain and cloudy skies..some of my plants even get powdery mildew, so you how wet this May and June has been for folks in the NE...the blooms are good so far and there are more buds waiting for the sunnier skies to open up...even that, I notice the blooms this yr are less than last yr's...could be the unusually warm winter then a late hot April (93 F here) then a late frost in May (down to 30-31 for two nites)...then all these rain, practically non-stop in June...so, bottomline, for folks in the NE (I am in Jersey), if your ES[s] or other hyrangeas start off a bit slow or less blooms than last yr...don't get too nervous, somehow I think the July blooming season be better than normal (unless we get non stop days of rain or 100F weather...haha)... I don't use MGr's bloombooster, but my suggestion with all chemical applications to hyrangeas is - water the plant good the night before or the morning of the application, then apply the chemical, even in liquid form, then drench the plant with water afterwards if your application is dry chemicals (like a fertilizer) or aluminum sulphate solution...i know some folks put AlSu directly into the soil then walkaway - waiting for the sprinkler water or natural rainfall - bad idea, easy to burn the roots.. ...

Dee, I like your idea of putting all the small tools in a five gallon bucket and bringing it with you. I think I am going to try my version of that with a two wheeler and a small beach umbrella. I like bringing shade with me and having a two wheeler to move something if I need it. I also have a way of using the 5 gallon bucket as a work surface while sitting on a riding seat. I had fun putting the whole thing together too. Had lots of places to put things like my water bottle, etc. I did that two summers ago and I forget what happened that I didn't last year. I could move into one of those sheds tomorrow too Dee. Might make a nice get away, right in the backyard. Bring out a cooler and a comfortable chair, a few gardening magazines...make a day of it. :-) Linda, the umbrella is a nice idea when you have to use a space that is too sunny and it helps when it rains to keep things dry if you haven't got any cover. I've been using Miracle Grow Bloom Booster about once every 2 weeks. Although, I think I read where some might do it as frequently as once a week. I'm using the type that mixes with water... so there is a second consideration.... you're giving your plumeria a big drink of water at the same time. In my case, mine already get water once a week when I irrigate the lawn. I'm not sure I want to give them a second drink every week. Of course the other option is granules- a time release fertilizer. I feel like a liquid gives me more control though. I see you're in Jax... guessing you have to bring yours in for the winter? I lived up there for 10 years... I remember how cold the winters first seemed, coming from a central FL native :)

Yes - the propensity of horizontal stems to throw vertical shoots has been used for millenia to increase yields. It is an ancient fruit and vine growing technique. Google espalier, cordon, stepover and many other training systems.
