Can Someone Identify This Plant For Me?

I'm sorry I don't have a picture yet, but I will try to take one. It is growing out of the cracks in the road by our cul-de-sac's mailbox. It is highly unusual. I keep trying to find it on the web, but no luck. The leaves are

petioled and compound palmate, but entire, with no hair, but the erect stem is about 2 feet tall so far, with hair.

The flowers remind me of wings. They kind of look like single petals, on petioles themselves, and together, it seems to form a giant puffball-like umbel, along with narrow seedpods inside the "puffball", on the end of petioles(?). Some of the "wings" seem to have threadlike pieces that loop. It seems to be tasty to some little black mites of some sort. Any ideas? Your answers are highly appreciated. Thanks.
