Do you have any Gentianopsis seed left? I love this plant. Most of my collected wildflower seeds are from the Pacific Northwest, so they might not be hardy where you are. However, I do have some Gentiana sceptrum collected at 4000 feet near Mt. Hood. That would probably be hardy for you. I also have Lilium canadense and superbum that would grow well there. I am also growing some Gentianella detonsa superba, another fringed gentian that should grow where you are. How about some Actaea rubra? Let me know what you would like. Thanks.

Jay, I can't believe you don't have a single member of Ericaceae in your garden! I thought they were ubiquitous in every garden on the planet. You don't have any Ledum, Erica, Rhododendron, Vaccinium, Enkianthus, Menziesia, Chimaphila, Arbutus, Arctostaphylos, Cassiope, Calluna, Kalmia, Phyllodoce, Andromeda, Oxydendron, Gaultheria, Leucothoe, or Pieris? Let alone all of the strange and wonderful rarities like Kalmiopsis, Xylococcus, Rhodothamnus, Epacris, Richea, Macleania, or Loiseleuria? Or even a wild Monotropa or Pyrola? How could you possibly have a full garden!? By the way, walking through the vast Arbutus menziesii groves was a fragrant heaven this past trip. I have bought three Kalmiopsis fragrans in the past, just from the local garden shop down the street. Two survive, but just that. I wish I had seen them in the wild before positioning them! I'm going to either dig the two that are alive and replant in a partly-shady crevice, or get some new ones when they become available. The Erythronium montanum in the mountains are very lovely. You were probably not "at the top," of Mt Hood at 11,200', but at Timberline at 5600'. The lilies don't grow anywhere near the top. I'm planning backpacking trip up to the Olympics during peak Avalanche lily season and will report on my findings. Here's one from a trip to Goat Rocks in 2020. I enjoy the stachys officinalis but they really take their time And another veronicastrum, 'fascination' down on it's side My garden is no longer a symphony as I used to think of it, but a cacophany - weeding is not happening much due to inclement weather and laziness and stiff joints . Oh well, I still love it!

It looks like the worst weather was in New Jersey. It's supposed to snow more here. I ordered Trichostema brachiatum yesterday. It was from a nursery in the UK, but the seeds and shipping costs were reasonable. The Mentzelia nuda seeds were from Colorado. That place sent me a bonus packet of Small Leaved Globe Mallow, Sphaeralcea parviflora. They are a western species, so it will be a trial to see if it's winter hardy here. I ordered a plant of Sphaeraclea coccinea long ago, but it wasn't winter hardy. I've been trying to source Carex plantaginea seeds or plants, and I found the seeds being offered at Jellito. I ordered a packet, and also white, alba Sisyrinchium angustifolium, and white, alba Viola sororia, and Viola pedatifida. They have seeds for the Pinelands Swamp Lily Hellonius. I found seeds for Cudweed, Gamochaeta purpurea. Noone sells seeds for the 2 buttonweeds, Diodia virginica and Hexasepalum teres. Ive seen the Rough Buttonweed, Hexasepalum at the sand prairies. Noone offers native Spermacoce seeds either. A couple Asian Spermacoce species are for sale, but they are banned here. There are a couple observastions for Spermacoce verticillata in my county. I want to have host plants for the Tersa Sphinx Moth.. They use plants in Rubiaceae.. Im trying Galium boreale. It will be nice to have a Galium species that is better behaved. Years ago I tried growing the blue flowered bedstraw. I had enough Cleavers last year to fill up a king size mattress. Im not sure Tersa Sphinx caterpillars will use Galium? I have Button Bushes that are in Rubiaceae. Pentas are used by the Tersa. Most lawn and garden centers sell dwarf, hybrid Pentas that butterflies and hummingbirds can't see. Skip, did you have any luck growing Hedeoma pugiloides or Phryma leptostachya? I'm trying the Phryma again, and the Trichostema brachiatum is an annual like the Hedeoma. The only other shade annuals I have are Aunt Lucy and Clearweed. All my Cunila oreginoides plants were smothered by Bush's Poppy Mallow. Im starting more Cunila, and Ive wiped out most of the Callirhoe. Im replacing the C. bushii with Callirhoe pyramidalis, which is locally native. Callirhoe triangularis Galium boreale. The blue bedstraw is Asperula.
