Wow! Thanks for the credit in such big type. Frankly, I would not have thought about goat's beard if I hadn't just seen it in that nursery near Boone. The goat's beard I usually see in the mts. looks more like your "parent plant" photo. Now, if I could just get someone to tell me about the vine I have down near the lake. (Am not into digital photos, but seeing all of the great ones on Garden Web makes me think about getting a new camera.)
Well, ncrescue, I have found that a small piece of a plant can be scanned with a scanner and produce a darn good picture. I have a printer/scanner combo and the software that came with it made it pretty easy to use.
But a digital camera is a great idea too. Many cell phones have them now, built in. Doesn't take a great picture, but it can do in a pinch. I took a couple of nice pictures of Indian Pink while on a camping trip with the Girl Scouts!
