I would guess Verzi is selling the covers. Monica popped in several months ago--or was it longer--and told us her dh (from the wedding) had committed suicide. She sounded a mess, and I so hope she has found some help; I felt just terrible for her. As I recall, she bought a new house and showed us some pictures. Wish she would post again. Eta I just turn my bowl upside down and lay it on the mixer to keep the dust out.

I love Azul Macaubus and that just might be my exotic granite for MY island. All your ideas for the island are so nifty. Mine is going to be lowered, too, because I, too, am short. In fact, the island and my L shaped baking center are both lowered. I'm (hate this term) a 'senior,' so I am having my DW raised--hate to bend over. Like you, will have the open shelves and the basket storage in island. My eating area very like yours, too, though I don't have the bay window. Do you like blue china? I have so much; lots of it will go on plate shelves indicated on plan. so many similarities but must run meet with GC. I'm putting my kit layout again so you can see what I'm talking about!

I like that look very much, Caroline. And painted white would be great. I don't have that now, but when I first moved into this house, several windows had wood platforms covered with curtain material over the windows that then had the curtains coming down from them. Well, that didn't last very long with me. I took them down, patched all the nail holes it took to put them up there and then repainted the area. They had left cans of every color they used in every room. Since then I ordered lace curtains from Country Curtains for the six windows in the original part of the house and I used tension rods, top and bottom, to fix them inside the frame of the window. They have held up very well over the years.
