I have been a a casual gardener for many years... I've always disliked the look of the typical gardens and landscaping in my area of CT...too many island beds with exotic plantings,bushes etc...I just stumbled on to this forum and you all are talking my language, even though ,in large part, I have no idea what you are talking about because I'm new to it. I would love to begin integrating natives into my gardening style. We've moved into a new house with many creeping junipers,yews and other oppressive evergreens that I'm just itching to rip out.There are still many,many plants that I love,that I don't think would be considered native, that I want to plant. Are there resources ie: books,websites that illustrate how to marry native and non native in a sensible way?for example cottage and native together? Pictures of gardens are really helpful. TIA...Julie
