Clematis gowing over ivy with the ivy as its support?
Comments (4)I would not suggest trying to plant a clematis in the ground around where ivy has been, even if you have pulled out most of the ivy roots. Ivy, at least in my experience, is tenacious and will come back if not all the roots are removed. If you assume you have removed all the roots, plant the clematis in the ground, and the ivy returns, you will then have to try and kill the ivy with an herbicide and it might get on your clematis even being as careful as you might be. Herbicides on clematis will mean a certain death for the clematis. Chester, if you want to go ahead with your planting scheme, I would go the way of the barrels. Just make sure you keep the ivy from growing into the barrels and intertwining with your clematis vines....See MoreWall Decor: Fake frames and real photos
Comments (2)What an interesting idea. My art/office room would welcome this. I'll save the cost of the wallpaper and time to put it up. Easy to draw those frames I think. Also a great idea for a kids room, let them do their own thing and display their work....See MoreFake chipboard tile on bathroom walls?
Comments (9)I had a product like that called Baker Board in my last bathroom. It was sold for use in the bathroom to mimic wall tile. It is basically a kind of panelling that looks like bathroom tile. Mine was from the 1990s and looked nicer than yours, but was basically the same thing inside. We had ours installed over drywall. I suppose it is possible that yours is there in place of drywall. Mine was stuck to the wall board with construction adhesive. It is always possible that someone glued yours over really bad tile, to keep from having to tear it out, too. I think it is hard to say until you get behind it....See MoreHow to remove old dry ivy from a pebble dashed wall?
Comments (6)I'm not at all familiar with pebble dash but just did some reading and it sounds like you have a problem. Best would have been try hardest to get it off while still green and before it had dried. One article suggest a low pressure steam cleaner, along with leaving and painting over a few bits of tendril - rather than aim for a complete removal that would have you removing many of the pebbles in the process. Are there any professionals within your area (and within your budget) you could call to help you with this?...See Moretapla (mid-Michigan, USDA z5b-6a)
