Look at my new tee tinies!

Got six mice and a mango in the mail today, they are all so cute! I hope I don't kill them! I got Mango Tango, Holy Mouse Ears, Cat & Mouse, Green Mouse Ears, Blue Mouse Ears, Mighty Mouse, and Frosted Mouse Ears. I'm on the hunt to collect as many mice as I can! Here are some pics:

I got these off of eBay from hostabargains and the plants are very healthy little darlings...now if I can keep them that way! In September of '07 I got a TC plant of Guacamole from Bluestone that was about the same size as this Mango Tango, and that thing has grown a lot in about two years time. Granted, Guac is a fast, easy to grow hosta, but I'm hoping for similar success with MT, or at least that it gets to a good size anyway (or, survive the winter...lol). I'm very excited about these guys and plan to make a bed just for mini's, but in the meantime, these guys will get tucked into an existing bed, and next spring they will have a new garden to grow in.

My grandson is bugging me to get Mango Tango since it is the name of his favorite juice drink!

Amazing! They are gorgeous! I've been looking at Hostabargains as a source, but I'm pretty much past my hosta budget for the year.

I wish I knew which nursery everyone is talking about..lol..I went to GWD looking for nurseries that sounded like TOP, but didn't find anything.. 49.00 for a 6" plant should be potted in gold..sheesh. Some ppl believe you get what you pay for, but IMO, that's not necessarily true. I got some of my plants on sale or when stores were about to toss and they're doing great..I can't afford high priced plants so I shop at places like Almost Eden plants and Accents for Home and Garden. I think my variegated was 19.99 from AE, but it arrived compact and nearing 2' tall. I hope you all can keep your plants alive and well. Toni

This plan has an upstairs, so would you eliminate it? If so, and if you still need the basement, I'd change the stairs on the right to the basement stairs, and where the basement stairs are currently, move that half-bath into that space, and move the cased opening in the bedroom hall to the left of that bathroom. Re the dining room, I was just at a friend's for dinner and their kitchen and DR and foyer are somewhat similar to this. I have to say, looking at it on the plan I don't like it, but for a gathering it was kind of nice. Like being in a private room at a restaurant. Ladies, you know what I'm talking about: if you're at the dinner table, don't you see the kitchen and feel a compunction to help clear and start loading the DW? Why end the fun conversation to work?

sf_treat - how do you like your floor? how is it holding up? I'm looking at some floors from hardwood bargains. the samples are impressive, but I'm in Philadelphia so I'm going to have to pay some pretty hefty shipping. The price is low enough that even with the shipping it will be reasonable compared to some other options, but I'm concerned about ordering something that I basically can't return. (I could but I'd have to pay ANOTHER shipping charge)

If you have an architect why are you bringing him/her a prepackaged internet plan? That's like bringing a baloney sandwich to a 5 star restaurant. You don't need ideas to take to your architect. You need to define your needs, your wants and your wouldn't it be nice to haves. Create a bubble diagram that shows what rooms are needed next to one another. Then walk the space outside with your architect so he/she can get a feel for the best siting of your house. You Lucky BUG you!

I really shouldn't get any more but all of the Mice Hostas are certainly on my list! I already have Cat and Mouse- but I want Frosted Mouse Ears, Holy Mouse Ears, Blue Mouse Ears & Royal Mouse Ears is my number one I need to get, I just don't want to spend $60 just to kill it and go down the drain. If I kill a plant that is $10 its sad but not a real kicker!
