Birds will plant them, along with many other fruiting trees/shrubs/etc. They tranplant ok if you want to move it. It will get 8 ft tall easy. Bears fruit in 2 years, sometimes before.

I have managed to get this to work on my own pool and spa but it depends on daily run time. Having a slight overdraw or underdraw can be a problem if you are running 24/7. However, when I did this, it was only for 6 hours per day run time. Since the valves are in partial open for both suction and return, having a few inches of gain or loss per day in the spa is equalized during the period of time when the pump is off. With the pump off and a connected primed channel between the pool and spa, water will seek it's own level via siphoning and the water level in the spa and pool will equalize to the same level. As I said before, it requires some tweaking so you don't have too much under/over flow in the spa but you can get it to work. It works even better if you have a variable or low speed pump where you can run both on the lower speeds. But again, if you don't want to bother with this then just use the manual swap method.

I host a similar gift swap at a party I do every summer. Out of season right? But the point of the game is to have fun which we always do. I call it the Greed Game, mainly because that's what it was called the first time I ever played it years ago at a Christmas party, but also because that is the whole point of the game: greed! I've found over years of playing it that these things hold true: 1. People LOVE to unwrap a present 2. If you get a low number (one of the earlier pickers in the game) there is a good chance that the game will not be fun for you, in the event that you pick a gift no one else wants to steal. It's not fun to watch everyone else stealing and laughing and having a good time while you sit there with an undesirable gift. So here are the rules we play by, which seem to work very well. Everyone draws a number. Round ONE consists of everyone unwrapping a new gift. Round TWO is for stealing. #1 looks at his/her gift and decides to either keep or steal. If keeping, play moves to #2. If stealing, #1's gift goes on the table and #1 steals from someone else who we will call 1a. 1a can take the gift on the table or steal from another person (1b). 1b can take the gift on the table or steal from another person (1c). 1c must then take the gift from the table. Once the gift is taken from the table, whether it be by 1a, 1b or (forced) 1c, #1's turn is over and play moves to #2 who initiates another round of stealing if desired. Within one player's turn (#1, 1a, 1b and 1c for example) a gift can be stolen only once. However, once that person's turn is over and stealing play moves to the next player, all gifts are again available for stealing. This method allows everyone to open a new gift AND to have an opportunity to steal. The stealing goes on AFTER all the gifts have been opened so that people can decide what they want based on complete information. There is still no guarantee that everyone will go home with the gift they wanted, but that is never guaranteed. The fun of this game is in the stealing, thus the "greed". So when everyone opens a new gift and everyone can also steal, it's the fun of the game that becomes the star instead of what gift you end up with. The gift you end up with is more of a bonus for participating in the game. I will say that the gifts need to be imaginative. If everyone brings a gift card, there won't be much fun in either opening or stealing. And it doesn't matter if the gifts are worth $5 or $50. Again, because the point is the fun of the game and the gift is merely a bonus. I hope you have fun no matter what you decide to do!!

It's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to keep track of who you are trading with. You print a copy of the trade for your records, or save it into a notebook. An easy way to do this is to print out the address correspondence and write on it the day you mailed out your envelope. Save your correspondence in a brightly colored pocket folder and use it ONLY FOR YOUR TRADES. Keep it by your computer and never walk it out of the room!!! If you don't have a printer you can keep track of your trades by writing down the info in a spiral notebook. Use one sheet per trade/sase. Write down the email of the person you're mailing to, what was sent, what is expected in return, and write down the day it was sent. An excellent suggestion is to put a piece of long ribbon through a ring-hole in the spiral binder and TIE IT TO THE COMPUTER TABLE so it can't disappear. When the seeds come in you can look up right away who they're from and send a THANK YOU via email. Then draw a line through the page to indicate that the trade has been completed....now you're done! I save my "address" emails to a folder in my inbox that I've created called "seed trades". When the seeds come in, I pull up the corresponding letter, and I hit the "respond button" and I say, "thanks, I got the seeds!". Once you say THANK YOU your responsibility is done....all GOOD TRADERS acknowledge the receipt of the other trader's seeds and say thank you. You can then delete the email or move it to another folder called "completed trades". Once you've sent a "Thank You for Trading" you're done with the trade. Store your seeds where they'll be safe and dry until you sow them, and dream and plan for your new garden and future trades. =====================================
