it also might help if they went to final ripe color. where did this person get the seeds. did they come up from south america. any and all information would help. you can purchase know seeds for low cost. is there anything special about these. are they mild or super hot etc. any info on the growing habits. how fast does it grow. how big. branching, colors on the stems. the color of the flowers helps a lot in identifying them. can you get good pictures of the flowers. nice close ups. the flowers are a big big key to identifying these.

The green/brown growth that you referred to is called the stigma, aka female reproductive part. Generally the ovary will turn brown when pollination took. From the first few pics, it appears there are seedpods forming but it is too early to tell as they can abort. You can celebrate when they grow about an inch or 2 in length.
