We are delighted beyond words with our Kaymed mattress. We took a very expensive route to get to it. We spent just shy of $7,000 on Tempur-Pedic mattresses and adjustable frames. We were disappointed beyond words. They were replaced once because the indentation was so deep and wouldn't recover. They were hot and smelly. I went back to the store where we purchased the TP mattresses and the worked with us to get them resold since it was past the 90 day return period. I went around the store and tried out the Kaymed bed. I was very sure the one model that was all Talalay latex and was quite firm was the model we wanted. I wanted absolutely nothing to do with memory foam ever again. No chemicals from a man made foam. We've now had our Kaymed mattresses for 6 months and we couldn't be happier. There are no indentations and we even use them on the adjustable frames. They return to their original shape immediately. They aren't hot like the memory foam. The have no smell like the memory foam. We are absolutely satisfied beyond words with Kaymed. They are worth waiting for and it really isn't that long. They are worth the cost which is more than we can say for the TP mattresses. KAYMED mattresses are superb.

Hi! All, We are in the same boat. My son's condo in Bay Area has a Suburban DCF30M that is now 35 years old, defunct and we can't get any help from Suburban, we have contacted them several times. These units were designed for RV use. The current unit is installed between the ceiling joists of my son's condo. (Floor joists of the unit above.) The current unit is 13" deep, 13 1/2" wide and 32" long. Does anyone have any information about a natural gas unit that would replace this and fit in the same space? A mini split is not an option as his condo complex doesn't allow anything outside of the condo. I have a DCF-30G & DCF-30GC manual if that would be of help to anyone. Hope to hear from you.

@youXHome interiors Thanks for the suggestion! I see some good practical benefits to that approach, but I'm not sure how well it would work with a more contemporary aesthetic like I have planned. It also puts the people facing in to the kitchen sort of far from and below the people in the kitchen they're interacting with, but probably not enough that they couldn't comfortably talk. I am going to see if I can fine a similar layout in a contemporary style to see what it would look like. Edit to clarify: I can easily imagine the banquette itself (and table and chairs) in a contemporary style. What I'm less sure on is the integration with the island.
