New England Wildflower Society seeds are available

The NEWFS seed sales have started for the year for members. I believe the sales are open to non-members in early February.

I ordered 22 packets. Yikes. I don't know what came over me! I had a long list of 26 species that I wanted to order, I tried paring down the list a bit and ended up with 22, not that much smaller :-) I justified this because I will actually have the summer off this year (!!!) and will have lots of time to tend to seedlings!!

Thank goodness for winter sowing, these will mostly be going out in containers on the patio for their cold stratification.

Great. That's just what I need...along with my head examined! Thanks for the tip, even if I already have a whole box full of seeds and 45 more packets coming that I know of.

Ellen thanks for posting this. I got caught up this week and didn't notice they were available. Lisa, I understand what you mean, I don't NEED more seed, but I have to get more native plants! lol

I was wondering if anyone might be interested in sharing an order with me? I have a list of seed I am interested in, the codes are the method of germination:

For business reasons I've visited Nasami Farm and WOW!! Will now always go in the afternoon so plants won't have to sit in the car all day :-) BTW: The business reason is to help Nasami get itself more well known. I'm working with for-profit local nurseries trying to have them "sponsor" some TV advertising for this incredible non-profit on garden and home related TV channels. If anyone knows any OWNER of a for-profit that may want a good bit of exposure for a great cause, at a resonable rate, email me privately. Thanks all for the compliments. narcnh: I can't put that sort of information into a FAQ - any specific references to a website would be considered too ephemeral. The FAQ is supposed to be timeless (or at least last for longer than the average website). Treeskate: My guess is that you will need to retest and probably amend the soil regularly, since soil particles will continue to erode slowly and reestablish the original pH. .....................................................................................................................
