Is there drainage in the tanks? You can't grow a plant without drainage. Pythos? is a good plant inside. It mostly grows easy anywhere. Ficus Benjamina, too. Out of my expertise, because I grow nothing that doesn't feed me back. I like fruiting plants. Indoors, herbs would be the only thing, but you still need drainage. Can you drill holes in the bottoms? i wanted to recommend indian hawthorn (raphiolepis indica) but, the more i think about it, the less inclined i am to do so. they can be very pretty in flower but i have yet to see one that did not have leaf spot(much like red-tip photinias). for something different and unusual, maybe texas ranger (leucophyllum frutescens). there is one growing in a large planter at a vet's office in my area and i like the grayish foliage (semi-evergreen). it naturally grows in arid regions but should do o.k. here in a well-drained site. this might not be what you want if you are looking for something with a more formal appearance but they can be pruned or sheared to shape. this link lists cultivars that i am not familiar with but may have better attributes for form and flowering than the species. You may risk insulting a homeless person by trying to pass out unsolicited gifts. They are also very leary of strangers and your good intentions may be rebuffed. Better to donate to an organization. The homeless know where these places are and can partake if they wish. Just like anyone else whom you would be buying holiday gifts for, they may not want or need what is in the gift box. Believe it or not the homeless can be picky about what they recieve. Maybe they don't need lip balm or do not like trail mix or whole grain crackers? Shampoo is useless if one does not have a place to shower. Hand sanitizer?!? In my town they can't even get the homeless to use the needle exchange program to keep themselves healthy. Better to donate to a food pantry and let the homeless come in if they wish, and choose what they need from a charity. Maybe you could set sometime aside, to donate your time at a charity, to help with the extra things they do for those in need around the holidays. They always need extra volunteers around the holidays and throughout the winter. In past years I've volunteered for the Red Cross and also the Salvation Army. This year I signed up to work as a volunteer server at the Xmas dinner that the Salvation Army puts out for the homeless and underprivledged in Milwaukee. Find out what is done in your town. They may even need volunteers just to phone businesses asking for donations and you could do this from home if you don't drive or get out much.

Do you have a receipt from the order that tells a color name or number you can compare with what you got? Do they have a sample in the store that you looked at when you ordered that you can compare your tile with? I'm so sorry you're unhappy and hate to think of it affecting how you feel about your kitchen every day. Even if it was you who made the mistake, it's better to admit it now and try again? It's really hard for me to tell on the computer image if it goes well with your counter or not. Did you try taping some up on the wall in the planned pattern to see if you'll really like it?
