Comments (12)Ok I will share my homework. Agent from either Farm Bureau or farmers union ins. said it would be covered under my general farm liability policy. I don't think he knew what he was talking about, but you might check those 2. farmers mutual who I have my farm policy with $500. That farm policy may be moving. Shelter ins- agent talked to the underwriter and I would be a fruit, nut and veg distributor. coverage $500,000/$1,000,ooo premium $100. Very doable and almost a no brainer. Sure don't need to lose my farm for a few tomatoes....See Moreliability insurance
Comments (14)A smart insurance company has finally put together an insurance program for all types of farmers markets vendors! The program provides the vendors with group rates for $1,000,000 in general and product liability per occurrence with a $2,000,000 annual aggregate limit and a zero deductible. This will cover the vendors while at all markets that they participate in. Note that there is no limit on the number of markets in which you can participate. The only requirement is that all such markets must be listed on your application for coverage to be provided. The cost of the policy is $350 per year for vendors that generate less than $100,000 total annual sales at the markets listed. For those vendors that generate in excess of $100,000 in annual sales, the cost of the policy will increase at a rate of approximately $5 per thousand of sales. Premiums are paid annually and once coverage is extended, the premium is fully earned and non-refundable. Coverage is provided by an A rated insurance company. The policy will also name the market as an additional insured so that in the event of a product liability or general liability suit where both parties are named, the market is covered. Comments (3)Hello, all my friends, Yes, it's a whacko story, indeed, and now I'm about to be sued for over $11,000.00 in damages to the apartment. The place was only 400 sq. ft., and to have damaged the place to equal that amount, I would have had to set fire and burned that wing to the ground. There's only one move for me at this point, which is to file a tort case due to physical injury and sue for physical and punitive damages. And this was NEVER my wish. I've only wanted to put this horror behind me, as I'm a very shy senior citizen who's greatest hope is to enjoy to the fullest my well-deserved retirement. My thanks to Phideaux and Mike for their kind comments, and may you all stay tuned, as something tells me this sh - - storm isn't quite over. Oh, just a little more: I totally LOVE my new apartment! It's over 3 times the size and with all kinds of amenities, whereas before there were none! And had I mentioned that the teenie-weenie place didn't even have an OVEN? When I signed the lease, I asked the manager why no oven was installed, even though they did offer a "range-top." The leasing manager told me that an oven was a "fire hazard." My fellow Webbers, I'm completely unable to make up this "stuff." Are you getting an idea of the mentality of my opponents? Geez Louise, what a world we inhabit....See MoreNeed help! involves liability insurance!
Comments (5)Our builder's risk included $1 million in liability for anything that happened on our property. We were concerned because we are on a pond and had an open foundation hole for a winter, I was worried about people cutting through our lot to get to the pond to skate. We put a chain across the driveway with a No Trespassing sign (woods extend to the driveway, so there is no way for a vehicle to get in around the chain). The only person that got hurt was me. I fell in the foundation hole and ended up in the hospital for a week. So yes, it happens. I believe the policy was about $800 per year....See Moresnappybob
