The contest has yet to begin. But if you check the Hosta Library list and see that one of your favorites is not represented with pictures, you have a good candidate for the contest. Just take your pictures NOW, while the plants are at their loveliest.

It should be very good for the library, I know so many folks have uploaded to the forum some absolute beauties...definitely worth immortalizing for everyone to see.

Listed since early June, but just very recently have you been able to submit pics for it.

Wouldn't it be great if the site provided pictures of those submitted. It would allow those with superior pictures know whether they should submit theirs.

From my observations in the past, most hosta lovers just want knowledge out there for others to use and not for recognition.

irawon, it says in the rules under "what won't count?" that they don't want submissions of plants already submitted by someone else.

I think that is the rule because the purpose is to expand the library photos and add as many different hostas as possible.
