Dwarf Japanese maple off spring still dwarf?

I have a beautiful dwarf Japanese maple with fine red foliage-about 5 feet tall; maybe 30-40 years old at least. Last spring I found a seedling with identical but smaller foliage and potted up. I just found another yesterday.

My question is will these seedlings be as dwarf as the parent tree or will they be larger or otherwise different? I don't really have any other maples near by so it is not likely this is a hybrid.
