Camera Review Uses Hosta

Huh! I've been thinking about getting a Canon S5 when it comes out in the next month, and found this review (below) and by golly, the reviewer uses a hosta leaf to demonstrate a problem. ("Fringing," meaning color bleed at very high film speeds. The color bleed is in the photo of the leaf, not the leaf itself!)

No, I don't know which hosta. Something with heavy quilting.

I like the Canon S3 and S5 for garden photography for a couple of reasons:

1. the tilt-AND-swivel LCD viewfinder means you can get low-down photos without crawling around yourself

2. supposedly both models have time-lapse photography ability, and who here hasn't wanted to see a time-lapse of a hosta leaf unfurling? But this may just be hype; I've written to the reviewer to try to find out for certain.
