Hybrid Black-Eyed Peas??

Hi Everyone!

I planted a new crop of black-eyed peas from seed that was from a previous crop this year and was concerned that they would not produce a viable plant and/or fruit if they were a hybrid plant to begin with.

In a previous discussion about hybrids not producing viable seeds the question about my black-eyed peas came up. Someone indicated that they were under the impression that all beans and peas, and other legumes sold for home use are never hybrids. Does anyone know for sure?
