Anyone used daconil spray before???

I purchased some daconil (0.087% garden tech brand from rural king) today that is ready to use, is sorta thick to use and clings to the plants for awhile when you spray it on. I plan to use it on my questionable hostas I received in the mail from direct source. They have an orangy sort of color to the cut ends of the stems and some of the stems pull right out. I suspect a blight or the such......what do you think???. I recut the stems with well cleansed scissors (easier to do since many of the plants were cut off almost to the crown).

The daconil coated the stems and pooled on the plant crowns. Is that good enough to treat or do I soak the soil real well too? Do I retreat in a week or two? Do I dump out the soil and repot or bleach treat them??? Then repot in new pots with new soil?

I have never had blight, rust, or what ever this infection is before...never received plants in this poor of shape.

I am so disappointed in direct source. I was a multiple repeat customer in the past.
