As I showed in the other post about Wu, my Empress is on steroids and my T-Rex is growing along at his rate. Give her some fertilizer and a lot of water, then she will build her crown and leaves to become a giant. Her mass will need constant water! My 'Empress Wu' was larger and had 2 or 3 eyes in 2010, so add a year, in 3 years she will be bigger than T-Rex.

Your T-Rex is a healthy looking plant. Does it get any sun? Mine gets very little and hangs on to its blue bloom. For me, T-Rex is a slow grower, but it's becoming impressive. Thanks for sharing.

T-Rex gets some sun during midday,but goes into dappled shade later. This time of year here,all my blue hostas are already green,and T-Rex is no exception. It's been very hot and dry here lately,and hostas are already looking a little down. Remember,hostas start coming up here in March,so they have already been up 4 months. T-Rex emerges a little later,but this year has been strange,hosta-wise. Phil

We have H. 'T-Rex' and H. 'Empress Wu', similar age and similar light in where they're planted.

So far EW is winning, BUT, it's a close race.

Shall be interesting who will win.
