I hope everyone gets lots of rebloom this year, both in the north and the south. The Westbournes are favorites of mine, I just keep buying more Westbourne intros. I have over 40 of them. What I have found is that most are slow to get started and take 2 years to start to show their stuff. Branching and budcount increase dramaticly by year three. I can't believe the difference. The colors on the blooms are fabulous. Many are rebloomers (not all so check each listing). Most clump up slowly for me although there are exceptions. I would never be without them. I am now into the late bloomers blooming. The regular daylilies are just about bloomed out with only some here or there and most on empty scapes. The plateau in the back is just about done but the slope at the side of the driveway is in better shape. As is the front. But the other side of the driveway is bloomed out. Very dissaponting as it all happened so early and the bloom period seemed so compressed. The excessve heat and no rain for 6 weeks just didn't help :-((

I only see one rebloom scape on Beautiful edgings and I had 7 last year. 7 scapes,and 7 rebloom scapes last year.Was the same thing with wonder of it all, too. 7 scapes that bloomed then 7 rebloom scapes too.This year it has about 15 or so fans in that pot,and it had 14 scapes, but, so far, only 4 rebloom scapes.beautiful Edgings was the same thing, last year it had 7 scapes that bloomed then 7 rebloom scapes, too. Beautiful Edgings is such a good color even without the edging. We will all miss your Wonder of It All. It's certainly done a good job for you even with the heat. I like your picture of the colors on Lavender Cascade, especially the "lavender" on the ruffles. How Beautiful Heaven Must Be has not only an inspiring name but a lovely bloom. A good batch of daylilies today.....Maryl

These are all pretty and made even more so by being late. I like them all but I really like the form on 'Famous Last Words' so it's my favorite today. I wish I had been able to visit Ollalie's this time of year to see the lates, but as I said before they aren't open now on Tuesdays which is the only time I could go. So I am relying on you to show me their lates and I really appreciate your sharing these photos. (I still need to do a post with the photos I took at Olallie's last month). VT RR Red looks more orange than red to me....is it an orange blend? Celeste
