ID'ing a hydrangea growing in the Poconos

Hi gang. must have mis-posted yesterday since my post isn't on the board. I need help Identifying what seems to me to be an oddity. I've found two hydrangeas near Bushkill Falls that are flowering now with flowers that look like a cross between Oakleafs and lacecaps. The flower size and shape is oakleaf and the florecences (sp?) look like a cross between oakleaf and lacecaps. Her's the oddity......the leaf looks like a very miniaturized macrophylla, and is almost a dead ringer for a dogwood leaf as far as size. I'm stumped and want to take cuttings since these two plants are in a construction area next year. Curiously, one is blooming furiously as it grows through the crack in an old abandoned tennis court. Go figure.
