First off, I was going by the numbering at the top (16 of 44, for instance) and didn't see the numbering at the bottom until now, so several of you labels are off. Sorry. The numbers I've used below are your labels. :) 2 could be strawberry or mock strawberry, or maybe something else 4 is a weed 5, 34, 36 and 41 could be Echinacea or Rudbeckia, or something else 7 might be a milkweed, snip a bit of leaf and see if has milky sap 15 could be Jupiter's Beard, Centranthus ruber, it will have salmon pink flowers very soon if it is 17 could be Valerian or Peony, or something else 18 is extremely cool and I would love to know what it is, I hope someone will recognize it! 19 could be Moonbeam Coreopsis 20 might be Hydrangea 23 is a grass that has volunteered in the middle of your lily of the valley 24 looks like Goldenrod, Solidago, to me 25 is a weed 26 and 35 might be Veronica 27 and 28 might be weedy honeysuckle, Lonicera 38 could be a Centaurea montana seedling 40 could be Rudbeckia (a different kind than the others), Plantain (a weed), or something else 42 the plant in front is a Hosta, the ones behind could be Dame's Rocket 45 could be Dame's Rocket

Bella Donna looks spot-on. Mine has flat-topped buds, which Bella Donna has, and it does not have the strongly pleated petals that Petite Lisette has (there's a central fold in her petals that mine does not have so obviously). Petite Lisette (in pictures) is more strongly button-ed than my rose and has slightly pointier leaves, whereas the pictures of Bella Donna are not so buttoned and show more rounded foliage. Also, Bella Donna has a long bloom period (mine started first week of June, continues through today) and is "common" in PA... which helps because I'm in a "greater rednecklandia" section of Pennsylvania where folks would not have access to rare or unusual things. Size of plant matches up, size of bloom matches up, length of bloom matches up... yeah, I'll call this one good. Bella Donna it is. Thanks, everyone, for the help!

Embothrium Given the tone, I took this thread as Barron poking fun at himself + a bit of aggravation and a lot of curiosity. Thats a bit heavy going. My mother had Alzheimer's and its much different than what is being described in jest here. We all make fun of ourselves as we get older because we all have these memory deals, like when I walk into the pantry and then can't remember right off what I was going to get (what did I come in here for?) or when I forget a name when I'm talking to someone. I always drag out the 'senility card' to "fix it" because the truth is, I don't pay attention when I'm introduced to people. I did the same thing when I was younger. Barron, year before last I had two plants with long slender leaves. I kept looking at those leaves thinking, I know those leaves, what is it---WHAT THE HECK IS IT? Drove me crazy as I went over and over all the plants I'd planted over the years. After about three months I was working out there one day when suddenly it dawned me. They were Desert Willow seedlings. By the time the light-bulb finally came on they were pretty far along. I had removed a tree two years earlier and pretty much forgotten about the tree. The thing was, I kept thinking in terms of some kind of perennial which was why the obvious didn't dawn on me until so much time had passed. I left one of them but don't know if I'm going to keep it or not. I keep going back and forth---leave the volunteer tree or leave the volunteer Flame Acanthus. Decisions, decisions.
