I also have a new June Spirit...it'll be nice to compare growing notes. :-) FF...you said you were already growing Cold Heart...I missed out on it this year as it was sold out..."lime colour with corrugation" got my heart racing...is it doing well in your garden? Good order! No worries about the hostas looking ragged, I'm sure you know it's just the time of the year; They're tired. They just want to go to sleep and then EXPLODE out of the ground next Spring for you. I actually don't have a single one you just acquired; Not that I don't like 'em, I simply ran out of Hosta Money before I could get any more. 'Hippodrome' I am also very interested in, I always get excited when favorite hostas are bred with each other. That's very high on my list for next year. Very Nice, Enjoy! Don B.

Don, the money goes to the seller who is selling the seed or hosta. Bob has been so generous as to let others sell hostas and seeds on his site. Someone has even sold Hosta Journals. He is not charging a fee. Many a fine hostas and seeds have been listed on the Hosta Library Auction. I look forward to spring to see what nice hostas will be listed. I have sold both hostas and seed on the HLA. Bob is a great guy.....my thanks go our to him for all the work he has done for many of us. I for one have learned tons of info. on the HL. THANKS BOB! It is like it says on the page "NO monies go to the Hosta Library.

Just a hint. When bidding at any auction site take note of closing time and don't put in a bid until the very last 30 seconds or so. Bidding early pushes anyone else interested to out bid you. There is no reason to bid early and drive the bid higher. At the very end you know that you have a very good chance of not allowing someone else to outbid you, unless they are very quick and stalking the final bid. You can also see if it a price you want to pay. To me, bidding early is just like bidding against yourself. Good going Koffman, those are nice hosta.
