Starting with the Ben and Libby Page garden. A formal garden with examples of hostas used for edging.

The entrance.

I love details like these mosaic. (There is a hosta in the background)

A nice combonation of dark heuchera and a gold hosta.

A water feature - no hosta

Young Hosta Praying Hands edge a pathway.

Hosta and Begonias combine in the front border.

New hosta fill the front of another border. (Not many labels in these gardens)

I also really liked their tall lilies.

Next garden John Douglas and Leslie Matthews garden.

The Douglas/Matthews garden had many hosta that I liked along with daylilies and other perenials.

I was immediately attracted to this hosta along the front walk, Christmas Tree. No wonder why it's the 2012 Eunice Fisher Award.

The Don and Anne Kranz Garden was 7 years in the making. I somehow lost some of the pictures I thought I took, like the amazing clump of Abba Dabba Do. Here are a few Pics I didn't loose:

A few more to add- Abby, a Gold Drop Sport A Many Splendored Thing, a hybrid of Dorothy Benedict x hypoleuca - 2nd year, starting to get rugose, registration lists growth as slow Adrian's Glory, a Gold Standard sport- third year, starting to take hold, similar to Captain Kirk Abiqua Moonbeam, an August Moon sport - a favorite Americana, a Loyalist sport- 2nd year, probably moving to the garden this year. Thank you for your comments. In these gardens I have seen many more ways I can use hosta, ornaments, containers and companion planting. The gardens were inspiring. Because of heat and the lack of topsoil, you will see some commonalities. For example, the type of hosta, the use of containers and raised beds and the somewhat smaller mature size. Beverly

Teresa, What a fabulous time we had in your fair state! It was wonderful of you to give up Sunday to spend with Rita and me and show us your garden and introduce us to the two nursery/hosta/display gardens. Thanks for sharing your plants with us. Your knowledge of hostas and their origins made me realize how little I really know about my favorite plant! I'm just happy to remember what little I do about them!!!!! The theme of the convention was hosta friends and music. The Richard and Donna Priester garden really pulled it all together. They even had a musician playing while we toured the garden.

Great combo, gold hosta and gold hakonechloa in containers.

Minis in a birdbath

This eroding slope was the beginning of their hosta collecting. I wonder how many hostaphiles began by just tryiing to solve a landscaping problem. (DH on the path)

Next Richard says he is starting a stump garden. Hostas planted in found stumps. Cool.
