if they're only 4 inches tall, I can't imagine the fruit will be very large.
though cherry and currant tomatoes do have their place.

They're supposed to be an ever-bearing plant, but according to what I've read they grow to be 6-8" tall, not half that.

The fruit is supposed to be normal-sized cherry tomatoes, just obviously not hundreds of them like you get with a big plant. I've been thinking about trying them myself.

I have grown them 3 times, and each time I am disappointed with the taste. Given the effort and time growing a tomato indoors, I would recommend a bush tomato. If you give a bush tomato plant enough light, it will stay relatively compact, 2-3 feet tall, and more importantly, you will be rewarded with juicy tomatoes. I realize a standard Aerogarden won't accommodate a bush tomato, but my experience with the Micro Tom is that it is more of an ornamental plant.

There's other very small tomato varieties, I can't think of an off-hand but try looking for ones with "tiny" or "petite" or something in the name. I would think you could find something bigger than a Micro Tom (which, honestly, is small even for an Aerogarden) but still short enough to fit.

They are loaded with blossoms. I am really anxious to see how they produce. I know that the flavor may not be the best, but I am more curious to see what they produce. I was looking at the Tiny Tim variety. Do you know anything about that one?

be careful looking for tiny or petite in the decription or name. I grew some heirloom currant tomatoes but the plants are huge and spindly. they would never work in an aerogarden.
just a word of caution.

Well yeah, I don't mean that anything with a diminutive in the name is going to be ideal for an Aerogarden.

I just mean that if it's a really small variety of tomato there's probably something about that in the name. "Dwarf", "Mini", etc.

But you've still got to do a little more reading to find out what kind of average height you can expect from it.
