Went on vacation Annabelle blooms brown

Please help. Earlier in the summer I planted an Annabelle Hydrangea that I got at a local nursery. It was about 2.5 feet tall and it was blooming beautifully when I left for vacation. When I returned, a week later, it was all dead looking and dehydrated. It was very hot and humid when I was away with little rain. So, I quickley watered it and now it seems to have some life in it but the stalks and blooms are brown. There are green leaves. Do you think it will make it? Anything I can do to help it along? Will it bloom again this year? An suggestions, I would really appreciate.

Thanks. PottingShedGirl
