Let me predict the future:

You will begin posting more of your gorgeous photos on the Daylily Forum. Daylily freaks will be properly amazed and egg you on endlessly, requiring you to spend all of your income on more and more daylilies, posting more photos.

I love the daylilies with the eyes too. Last year I bought my first ones: Eskimo Kisses, Jamaican Music, Egyptian Queen, Inner Destiny, Exotic Treasure, Strawberry Candy, and Dixie Land Band. I also have a pale yellow seedling with a dark purple eye, a beautiful yellow spidery one, and Southern Patriot, my favorite, a gift from Marietta's.

I would like to see Primal Scream in person.

I still like irises best, though.

Love Takamagahara and Tideline, really beautiful! Sounds like you did really well at the auction. Also, love your daylily pictures. It seems like a lot of iris addicts also have daylilies. Those are really some pretty ones. I have 9 and stopped at that. Easily could become an addiction and no where else to put them. I have a nursery not far from me called Stone Cottage Gardens and they have 850+ different daylilies. It is really something to see when they are all in bloom. Here is the link, in case you are ever up this way during bloom time. It is in Gladwin, MI. I have never bought any daylilies from them, but have got a few perennials from there.

Hey Shadow, did you have fun on the daylily forum? There's a lot more traffic over there. Perhaps you should start photographing daylilies too- you would have a much bigger audience for your beautiful photos and they are an exceptionally appreciative bunch.

With Rita and Kay (Organic Kitten) getting into irises now, perhaps this forum will pick up a bit. I can't wait for next year. My compulsive iris viewing should turn into a full-fledged mania by then...

i really enjoyed the ensatas...thats one thing im trying to get started in memory of my mother who was japanese...ive ben trying to grow some from seed but i dont have a knack for that so i will have to start buying starts this year....i also love daylilies and starting to collect different colors....i have to get rid of alot of those orange old fashion to make room for daylilies lol....glad i came across this website cause its ben nothing but joy to me....thanks for posting the pics

Renee, definitely more traffic on the daylily forum. It is really sad because there used to be so many people posting pictures here that it was hard for me to keep up with my replies. I am really getting behind with posting mine, but have had a lot to do outside. I sure am glad that Brock is still posting so many beautiful pictures.

I have Trahlyta and just love it, but you are right some people don't like it at all.
Primal Scream is amazing in person, but I would never grow it since I can't stand that color, lol.

Yikes, it's been a long time since I've been here. It's kind of obvious that you've been away for a while when people start talking about you in third person! :)

push mow your old 2 acres, push mow the 1.5 acres where you live now (getting the house ready for your step-Dad's return from Afghanistan)...weed your iris garden, weed your vegetable garden, weed your club's gardens...dig in your old garden, dig in your new garden, work at a dig for the SWMIS club, dig with the ICSEM club, dig donated irises from a friend's garden for the ICSEM sales...plant your new orders, plant your club's orders, replant your old plants, plant at your club's garden...work at the ICSEM's sales (leaving the house at 4am)...water your gardens with gallon jugs then make your life easier by watering with a generator on your new well with 300' of hose, fill out your judges' activity report (and remember you still need 5 hours and 3 one-on-one trainings to become an accredited judge), vote the symposium, write an article on request, become the editor for your region's newsletter..........
