Watering of 'Pink Elf' dwarf hydrangea

Ooops

I inadvertently posted this to Gardening in New Jersey as well. A week ago Monday I planted a "Pink Elf" dwarf hydrangea. I followed all the instructions that came with it. I noticed today that one section of the plant has droopy leaves (not the whole plant). I had been using the Nikko blue in the same area as an indicator for watering. If the Nikko's leaves looked a little droopy I would water them both. The area is near trees, so there's some competition for water from the tree roots. The Nikko was planted in March, so it has a better established root system than the new planting. Should I water, or hold off?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Pat
