What beautiful gardens and beautiful plants. You lucky zone 6 people - you can grown rhododendrons, montana clematis and so much more. Everything looks so lush and bigger than I expect mine ever to be. I see you have gout weed. Does it drive you crazy?

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Let me answer a few questions. The pink flower is a Raspberry Supertunia. I love the Supertunias because they grow like crazy and keep blooming all summer long. They really add some nice color to the beds.

I have another June up in the Bunny Bench picture. She gets a lot more sun up there. Especially since this Spring I had the two Maples limbed up and thinned out. We'll see who will have to be moved later.

Gout Weed I had to look up. We call it Snow on the Mountain here. Believe it or not, I bought it!!! It has become a pain to manage. Just last night I was pulling some out and went and planted it in another bare spot. I hate killing anything. It does look pretty in mass, just not growing among my other plants. Let's see how it does in some dense shade!

Candy Dish took off good this year. I actually bought it from the fellow who came up with it. So I'm pleased it is doing good.

I tried the directions for smaller pictures, and it was set on the 15" already. Anything else I should do? Thanks for taking the time to send the directions for me.

Here is one more picture of my future slug helpers (hopefully). I have eight already and this will give me eight more. They also help will that good compost.

I thought it was June, then thought it might be Great Expectations. I then bought a June as well as a GE (both are less mature and neither look like it). What is yours - cause that's what I've got! :) -Jen

Jen, that's Great Expectations! I love her and baby it because lots of people have such a hard time growing it. This year she really has done a great job. I think maybe I should get more because she just stands out so well. You will love your June too, easy grower.

Your gardens are beautiful! Love your ground covers between the hostas and your rhodies and clematis too. I've have lots of dwarf rhodies and about sixty clematis. Not so many hostas yet.

I've always known Aegopodium podagraria 'Variegatum' as Bishop's Weed rather than Goutweed or Snow on the Mountain. It is a noxious weed that I'd never let into my garden again. Been there and done that. It sure can be pretty though. I'm currently battling lily of the valley in my shade garden.

I forgot to say the chicks are adorable. I keep thinking of garden chickens but we have severe raccoon problems already in our ponds and I don't want to lose any chickens.

60 Clematis!!! Sure wish you would show us some pictures, maybe with a hosta in there now again to make it "legal". I bet they are beautiful when they are all blooming. Sure could use some tips, mine get the wilt quite a bit.

I've done the Lily of the Valley thing too.

The other day, I was out and heard the chickens go off and happened to be close by. A raccoon was at the fence outside their run during the day. Made a fuss and he went on his way, but scared me to death. We have their run very well secured, but you never know. Those are my girls and no one is allowed to mess with them. Haven't had them in my pond thank goodness, some of my koi I've had for 14 years now. Sure would hate to lose them. We do have a Dobi that is usually out with me, so maybe they think twice about actually coming into the yard when she is around.

Passionknit, you are funny liking my compost pile. Didn't mean to get a picture of that though. They do produce the best looking black gold I call it. Everyone needs one!! I top dress the hostas every Spring. A few of the big ones might not get any next year for fear they will take over.

Rick, you know it's not really work. It's playing in the dirt for us hosta nuts. Can't beat the exercise too!

And Songinspired, I do love walking around, although I often get distracted moving something here or there, pulling weeds that seem to grow better than my flowers etc. We back up to the woods near a reservoir, and I love feeding the birds. You can imagine how many different kinds we are able to have coming to feed. They are truly beautiful. Right now I have Bluebirds feeding their babies, Cat Bird (don't know proper name), Cardinals in the climbing rose, someone keeps flying out from under my shed roof, need to check and see who that is. It's so cool when they mom's and dad's bring them up to the feeder on my deck to show them where the good stuff is. I get to see all the newbies.

Sorry it took me so long to comment,Sandy! Your gardens are beautiful,and obviously a lot older than any of my plants. I don't have so much space as you,and most of my property is downhill from the garden,so no planting down there. It is still a jungle out there! Lol! Keep up the good work. Phil

Sandy, the Clematis don't all bloom at the same time so the effect isn't as impressive as it sounds. Some are still scraggly and wilty too. I don't seem to have a single picture on Photobucket of a Clematis with a hosta in it. ;)

I bought a purple flowered Lamium yesterday after seeing yours.

Sandy, Love your gardens, your hostas are to die for and your flowers are so pretty. Love how you mix the shrubs, vines, flowers, ground covers, and hostas all together. I also love your statuary! I have a bunny garden and a cat garden. Your bunny with the carrots and those cats by the trellis are sooooo cute!!!! Wish I could find something that cute. We just don't seem to have them here in my area. Everything seems to be just ordinary here. Did you find them locally or buy them on the internet or maybe mail order? Great Gardens!!!
