Too much heat and not enough water would probably be showing browning after wilting of rhododendron growth. Without a picture, I would guess insect. If you lived in the east, rhododendron midge would be a possibility, aphid and white fly can also cause distorted new growth. Have you checked undersides for any visible signs of insect?

Sham, from what I see with the leaves, it looks like Citrus Leafminer. Very easy to diagnose this by look at the underside of the leaves. See if you have little squiggly tunnels in your leaves. This will not affect the health of a mature tree like yours, just make the leaves look ugly. You can treat for it if you like. Just search this forum for "Citrus Leafminer" or "CLM" and you'll see many messages about how to treat with a combination of Spinosad and Volk Oil, or by a systemtic application of Bayer Advanced Fruit Tree insecticide (Imidicloprid). Holes in the leaves can certainly be caused by snails, which can cause significantly damage citrus trees. Look for snails hiding on the undersides of your leaves, slimy snail trails on your leaves, snail poop, etc. Treat with Deadline at the base of your trees, and hand pick all the snails out of your trees. Bayer Advanced will also help to kill snails you can't reach or find. Now, your fruit. Very interesting. This actually looks more like just some normal sporting to me. Lemons and citrons can do this. Not sure what the black stuff might be, besides mold, and caused by a break in the fruit skin at some time. But, to be safe, I would contact your local ag agent and see what they have to say. You can contact your local CDFA agent by going to their web site. It is worth having your tree looked at, just to make sure what we're seeing isn't damage from the Asian Citrus Psyllid, and possible infection from HLB via the psyllid. Patty S.

Give them some balanced fertilizer and calcium. I've found that deformed leaves in otherwise non-diseased peppers are often due to nutrient deficiencies, especially calcium. It won't straighten out the deformed leaves, but new leaves will be healthy if that was the problem. And it's probably overdue for a fertilization regardless. They're "big eaters." Good luck!

I see the medium has shrunk down quite a bit inside the container. My guess would be your 2 year old tree has never been repotted. From looking at the photos posted, it looks like only 1/2 of the container is now occupied by the planting mix. That mix is more than likely compacted to the point of filling most of the air spaces with retained water, leaving little room for oxygen. Further, compacted soils do not allow for air exchange, thus the carbon dioxide coming off the roots is unable to escape. Both scenarios are not good. This can be seen by looking at the tree's limp foliage. Crinkling of tender leaves is normally caused by thrips sucking the juices out of the leaves. Action on this tree need to be taken soon..
