Looks something similar to my 8 1/2 x 14 1/2 B.C. greenhouse. Polycarbonate, aluminum frame, we bought the kit and put it up ourselves. Ours has been up around 14 years and is as good today as when we first put it up and it has stood up to the occasional snow loads dumped on it. The only thing I would do different today is have doors on both ends, you could still have a bench across the end if wanted but you'd have the added ventilation on hot days or depending where situated, access from both ends could be a real bonus. we bought the 8 1/2 x 12 1/2 footer with 1 extra panel to make it 14 1/2 feet long to fit the space I had no matter what size you buy, they're never big enough. Mine looks similar to the one top right but white not green.
By the way I love the sliding door feature, I wish I had that on mine.

I belong to a C&S club. The down-side to those who have free-standing GHs is that if their heat goes out in the middle of the night or when they're not home, it can result in a total loss of the plants. If you're going to get one like this, and if you already have a security system, you can add the feature of an alert if your temp drops below a certain temp. Or you can buy an alarm that will go off in your house if it drops below a certain temp. The former is better because the alarm company can call you on your cell wherever you are...

My GH is attached to my house - the nice thing about that is that I can get up anytime and go out there to check the temp. I used to go out & check the thermometer at least once a night, but now I can tell just by walking by the door if the temp is ok...

I should have mentioned when it is really cold we switch over to a kerosene or propane heater at night or if we're not going to be home, just in case we lose power. A

Shanna - My oh my, your collection must have grown :):):) I think we started at about the same time :)
My husband actually gave me a shocker and said he planned to build me a "little" GH when he builds his shed!!!!!! My mouth dropped!! :) Which brings me to my question.

Denise - I love the idea of the GH attached to the house, I've just always loved the easy access, the look, everything about it. Hubby says that it will suck all the heat out of the house. Is this even close to being true? I need experience first hand with the attached GH, to lean the hubbys favour to my side. Anything you wish was done different? Access to the GH? Way it was attached? Anything? Thanks in advance!!
