pineapple upside down cake

I have been trying to find some different colors and textures, but around here, there isn't much to be found... But while at Lowes, I stumbled across this wavy oddity peeking through all the other hosts. There is a strong green haze to it right now, but from looking it up, it shows a more golden look... Anyone else grow this one?

There about six plants in the pot, and I got it for only $4.

I found another colorful one, but the name escapes me right now.

It will be yellow with a green margin. Pineapple Poll is solid green. Pineapple Punch is the reverse of Pineapple Upsidedown Cake. Pineapple Punch is the all yellow version. There is a new one out now. I think it is named Pineapple Ripple.

My PUC is doing ok, my P Punch went a little backwards after last years heatwave. My P Juice is still a single eye, I got it as a 1 year TC. P Poll is doing good. It is short.

no.. i hate the name ... it worse than all the lakesides ... YOU CANT FIT IT ON A LABEL WITH A LABLEMAKER.. OTHER THAN MAKING THE PRINT SO SMALL ... you cant read it anyway ... yes.. its in TOO MUCH SUN .. it MIGHT ... continue to melting out.. because of such.. and if it does.. dont come running back and asking what that disease is ... as babs said.. its all normal .. move it to a spot .. where it is out of sun from noon to 6 ... out of the sun.. during the heat of the day ... and use that logic for anything with a large white center ... the white tissue is a net drain ont eh plant.. producing no chlorophyll .... and on some level.. the plant cant pump enough water to sustain it.. when siting is not proper ... so when this happens... move it to a little more shade ... ken

I forgot to add this: Instead of the 1/2 cup butter, I used 1/4 cup EV olive oil + 1/4 cup butter and it was fine.

I have pineapple upside down cake in a pot this year. I just love it. I am on my iPad and can't post a pic, but I will later. It is very pretty, light colored for a nice contrast, plus the wavy thin leaves are fun!!
