Question about returning migrating hummers

Here is what I'd like to know...Last year I had hummingbirds, but not until August. My hummingbird garden was out in full force, and I had at least four regulars (could have been more). I know in the past, I had one little guy who actually came back in the spring because I saw him at my window looking at me! (That was the one who stayed the whole summer the year before.) Unfortunately, we were adding on to the kitchen, and I couldn't keep up with the feeders, and I didn't think he'd appreciate the commotion. (He didn't.)

My question is...What are my chances of seeing last summer's regulars during the spring migration? I'd like to see one (or two) spend the summer here again, and I'm doing everything I can to make it happen. I've planted annuals galore (everything they love) front and back, and am keeping my feeders clean and fresh. Do you think I might see them? (Because I haven't seen any yet!)
