I couldn't help myself . . .I bought another . . .

And I can't figure out what it is, either!!! I picked this one up a couple of days ago, and have stayed up late (after midnight) the last few nights trying to figure out what it is! My husband REALLY thinks I'm insane, now.

I could have sworn I saw this plant somewhere online when I was looking for info on the DS-70 I couldn't identify, but now I can't find it ANYWHERE!!!

Leaves are emerald green, around 2-4 inches in length and younger leaves are concave, like a spoon. New leaves have an orange/red/yellow tint to them. The stems and leaf undersides are fuzzy and the leaf top is slightly fuzzy.

This is an EA plant.

Hi Carolyn, it is so easy to get hooked. One after another and another and another... you get the picture.
That is Hoya chelsea, very nice plant!

Well I'm flattered you'd ask but I'm better with visual aids! ...and would surely defer to Tropic's expert advice since I can only imagine a jungle. The plants sure are in close quarters in them, from what one sees in pics. Trying to duplicate that in pots may not necessarily be a great idea, you know I'm just flying by the seat of my pants (since you're stolen my dress!) but it makes perfect sense to me, we'll see... Maybe you could add a pic of the double pot next to the Philo in question that you're considering adding to it? We've seen the double, but next to each other would leave no question about size/scale. For a stake, I'd try to find something metal (for free, repurposed, that's how I roll...) If the plants get meshed together, aerial roots attached to stake, you probably aren't going to want to mess with that to repot. (And of course you will be repotting in the future, of course the plants will do GREAT!) And BTW, you look fantastic in heels! I'd keep dressing up if I were you.

I am reading this thread which was sent to me by Bev, after I spotted two cats. in my parsley and did not recognize them. I have grown a butterfly garden for a few years, seen several monarch cats., one chrysallis (which was gone the day after I saw it), and although I have grown parsley for over 15 years I have never seen a BST cat., in fact the only time I saw a BST was several years ago in a lilac bush. Sadly, only one of my cats. remains. It is growing well and this morning I spotted it munching away. The parsley plants seem no worse for the moment, they seem to prefer the curly over the Italian. Still wondering if I want to grow them. Lots of interesting informtion here. I just wanted to know what the result would be. I also wonder what the major predators are. I will look it up. Hi HnO - I ran to Lowes to check out F&E Summer Lace that you had to give in to! LOL ... no such luck Â:( ... all the Hs they had were the reg Pink F&E as well as the Blue. Like any addict ... since I was there & have several on wish list + must list, I came home with 2 musts & 1 whim (none Hs tho)!!! This AM I got 2 in & I'm simply happy - the holes were pre-dug last Fall, so t'was a cinch!!! Â;) Lowes will take the whim back, if I can't fit her in amongst the musts ... nice isn't it?! Â;)

Yachter...I'm sorry when I posted my reply to you.. I referred to you as OA..so that reply was for you. Lynn...I hope you let us know if you went today..and if you bought anything. Syble...I have to tell you that I think your DH would like CB for their meals. Their food is like 'Home Cooked' meals. Not at all like FF Chainstore..I like that they will add something new each time we go. We started going to them when we traveled South, and I really looked forward to them. My DH is very 'picky' and he was impressed..So I'd say, give it a try at least once. Kathleen..thanks I like the soft colors too. I'm trying to figure out something for St. Pat's day.. I really don't have anything green..but will try to 'shop' again around my house! lol Punk...Glad you thought they were pretty.. The dishes can add up when you start to put the set together. That's why I bought some last year and added some this year. Even though they are a little different in pattern, they will still work together. All the pieces, including the cups, were $3.99 ea..Except for the plates and the S&Ps which were $5.99 ea...and the Egg Cups - $.99 ea.. I think your DGdtr would love them... jane

I agree that it looks like Hoya carnosa 'Chelsea', you got a very nice looking plant.
Don't worry all too soon you will be knee deep in Hoyas, hanging ones, climbing ones, they'll occupy all of your window space. (insert devious laughter) LOL

I'm glad to hear EA is carrying 'Chelsea' now. I've got one I got from CBFM, but it's not done much for me even though I've had it over a year. I'll be watching for one from EA!

Hey, I look at it this way: If I'm on the forum or looking up information about my plants then I'm not spending money.
Other the other hand I may get the "I wants".
Everyone has to have a hobby and this one isn't as expensive at a lot of others.

That is true!!! My other hobby is birds . . . parrots, to be exact. So, I think my hubby is happy with the hoyas . . . and and the birds are happy with humidity from the plants!!!

I love my hobbies!

Three Indian Ringnecks, a Meyer's Parrot, a Pacific Parrotlet, a pet American Parakeet and a colony of 'keets. Got an albino female living in the nest box, right now. Hopefully we've got some eggs in there!!!

I've heard yellow-napes are the best talkers of all the amazons! Would love to see a pic. Feel free to email me one!!!
