5-1-1 refers to a homemade potting mix that's popular over on the container gardening forum. I believe it's 5 parts bark, 1 part peat, and 1 part perlite with some lime and fertilizer added. While I know the mix, I've never used it and I only rarely container garden. So I'm not sure what's up with your peppers. 10 gallon containers should be plenty big enough. Edited to add: It's possible that you are pampering them too much. I tend to neglect my peppers for the most part and they produce well. Maybe back off on the fertilizer a little. Ok umm i think i figured out the picture thing... also to clarify, i grew these from seed, i have 12 plants from one seed packet and over 15 from another. i started them a few weeks apart, i bought the packets from different brands, one at walmart and one at home depot. the plants themselves all look the same and these are the first 2 peppers i have, last night i noticed 3 teeny tiny baby peppers starting to form on another plant! That is not a very good picture. Maybe take it outside in the sun to photo next time. But, no, it doesn't appear to be nute burn. nute burn typically looks like the edge of the leafy is drying up. turns dark brown and gets crumbly.

Can't tell by just looking at a photo, but the plant looks basically healthy and sunburnt as Ken said. Holes may or may not have been 'nibbled'. When tissues gets necrotic and dies, it can fall away from the plant,. because it gets crispy. If you look closely, the holes are in necrotic and dead spots. I suspect it'll just grow out of it as it becomes adjusted to its new exposure and see what happens to the newer leaves as they unfold.
